Fresh Tea

Shincha means the first tea crop of the year and it has a very fresh fragrance, flavour, and fresh green colour.

Traditionally, we believe that drinking Shincha which cropped on Hachijyu- hachiya (*1) will protect you from any disease throughout this coming year. Japanese people enjoy giving and receiving Shincha as a special present.  I’m sure one cup of Shincha will take you to the beautiful Japanese green tea fields in your imagination.

(*1) Hachijyu– hachiya( eighty eight nights) means eighty eight days after the first day of spring. 1st May was Hachijyu- hachiya in 2016
